Shipping v3.5: lifetime guest profiles, live service briefs, and self-healing hardware

VenueCore Team · August 22, 2026 · 6 min

v3.5 is about memory. Not the venue's memory of a guest in a spreadsheet somewhere, but the room remembering — automatically, on the night, in front of the person serving.

Lifetime guest profiles. Every guest has a single profile with visit notes attached to it. Notes carry a sentiment and a category, so 'the shisha was slow last time' looks different to 'celebrating an anniversary'. Add a note from the guest hub, the host stand, or the reservations list, and it reappears the next time that guest books — no digging.

Live service briefs. When a booking is seated, the host stand and the till surface the notes that matter: allergens, VIP status, previous complaints, and open service recovery. Hosts can print a service brief for the section before doors, so the team walks in knowing the room.

Automatic notes. The system writes its own entries for no-shows, low feedback scores, and voids or comps linked to a guest. If something went wrong, the next server knows without anyone remembering to write it down.

Duplicate resolution. Guests booking on two different phone numbers used to become two guests. There is now a merge flow that folds duplicates together — notes, visits, and spend history included — and GDPR erasure works across the merged record.

Self-healing hardware. Printer and till configuration is now stored against the venue in the cloud, not the browser. After a platform update, tills re-establish their connection to the local print bridge on their own. No staff member has to reconnect anything.

Also in this release: manual notes and an expanded reason list on voids, sequential table joining on the floor plan with permanently solo tables respected, and finished bookings clearing off the host grid so the table can be reallocated immediately.
