Acceptable Use Policy

What you may do

Use VenueCore to operate your venue: take orders, process payments through your Stripe Connect account, run kitchen displays, manage staff, reservations, stock and accounting. Connect peripherals you own (printers, cash drawers, KDS, scanners) over your local network. VenueCore will perform a limited network discovery from your own device solely to identify compatible hardware. Export your data at any time.

What you must not do

  • Attempt to unlock, jailbreak, side-load or remove vendor software from leased / licensed terminals (SumUp, Zettle, Square, Toast, Clover, etc.).
  • Use VenueCore to process payments for goods or services that breach Stripe's Restricted Businesses list.
  • Upload, store or transmit cardholder data (PAN, CVV, magnetic stripe) into VenueCore. Card capture must go through the Stripe elements or the physical terminal.
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to defeat rate limits, RLS policies, or authentication on the platform.
  • Use VenueCore to harass guests or staff, to send unsolicited marketing in breach of PECR / GDPR, or to facilitate any unlawful activity.

Hardware migration conduct

When taking over hardware from a previous vendor, you confirm that you own or are licensed to use that hardware, and that you are not in breach of an in-force lease, finance, or services agreement with the incumbent vendor that would prohibit the takeover. VenueCore will operate any locked vendor terminal only in pass-through "external card" mode (recording the payment after the vendor terminal approves it) until that terminal is replaced.

Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe this policy has been materially breached. Where the breach is capable of remedy we will give you a reasonable opportunity to do so.
